Paul Cluver Wines Hosted by The Bijou Cafe
January 26, 6:30 pm
The holidays are behind us and are now wonderful memories. The new year has arrived bringing with it one of Florida's biggest and best Wine & Food Festivals, "FORKS & CORKS"!
Forks & Corks 2019 will showcase the palate-pleasing products of an international cast of visiting winery owners and winemakers alongside the deliciously diverse cuisine of more than 50 members of The Sarasota-Manatee Originals restaurants.
Among the premier vintner events are the WineMaker Dinners. This year the Bijou Cafe is proud to feature the wines of Paul Cluver from Elgin, South Africa.
The Bijou Cafe invites you to join them for this spectacular dinner on Saturday January 26th at 6:30pm. Please be sure to make a reservation as soon as possible as the dinners are small intimate affairs and sell out quickly.

Paul Cluver Wines is a family owned and family run winery, focused on producing wines that reflect the uniqueness of the cool-climate Elgin terroir. The family is proud to have pioneered the Elgin appellation and for being seen as a leader in the sustainable farming.
The property is approximately 70km south-east of Cape Town and has been in ownership of the Cluver Family since 1896.
The wine business forms part of larger holistic farming business called ‘De Rust Estate'. In addition to the vineyards and cellar, there are apple and pear orchards, a Hereford stud and eco-tourism activities, including amphitheatre concerts, on the farm. This estate forms part of the UNESCO world heritage site, the Kogelberg Biosphere. Half of the estate has been set aside for conservation into perpetuity.
